Sunny and open space, near Payson Park & Back Cove. Outdoor sauna added January 2025! Enjoy the backyard surrounded by nature and still in the heart of Portland, Maine!

 

This modern second floor space includes two queen bedrooms, both with their own skylights, a large closet, full length mirror, reading nook and plenty of natural light.

 

Backyard sanctuary with a newly added Finland white pine wet/dry barrel sauna for two. Robes provided. In addition, there is a fire pit area, Adirondack chairs & outdoor furniture set on the back porch with a fire table for your use. (This backyard space is shared with the main house & available year round.)

 

The kitchenette has everything you’ll need to eat in comfortably- a dishwasher, two burner induction cooktop, microwave that can air fry & bake, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, Ninja blender, Cuisinart drip & k-cup coffee maker. Dishes, pots, pans and cooking essentials provided.

 

Plenty of living space, which includes a formal dining area for four, island seating, and living room with a 75” Roku TV.

 

During the summer months, two AC units are installed- one in the main living area & another in the back bedroom.

 

During the colder months, a Rinnai heater is used to heat the main living space, as well as a portable heater to keep the back bedroom toasty.

 

Extra pillows & blankets provided, as well as 100% cotton robes for up to four guests.

The entire apartment is for guests. There is a private entrance & it is located over the two-door garage, which is adjacent to our family home. The backyard is a shared area, including the sauna, fire pit, outdoor furniture on the porch and fire table.

It was clean, safe, and most of all, the sauna facilities were excellent. However, it was a bit hot (even though it wasn’t summer and the temperature wasn’t very high), and the lack of air conditioning made it a little uncomfortable. While it’s natural to keep the place clean, I was a bit surprised by the owner’s request to sort out all the trash and recycling. The dishwasher didn’t work properly. This was such a peaceful retreat! Our only regret was that we weren't staying for longer! Super easy walk to Payson Park and close to plenty of restaurants and downtown Portland. This condo had all the amenities you could think of and was super cozy. We particularly loved their extensive book collection and the board games that were available, and can just imagine relaxing in the living room on a rainy day. The beds were super comfortable and the entire unit gets plenty of natural light! We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at Arian’s place . The location is very convenient and close to all the places we needed to be. It is about 5-7 minutes to restaurants , right next to the park. The apartment is very bright and clean . A big plus is a Finnish sauna outside which we enjoyed very much every night . Arian even took care of the water jug inside the sauna so that we would be able to use it for a wet steam!!! Very cozy bath robes were provided for our convenience as well . A very nice touch was a bottle of wine and a club soda I have discovered when I have opened the fridge ! Overall , we had a very good stay and felt right at home from the minute we opened the door to this beautiful space . Would highly recommend this beautiful apartment and a very friendly and responsive host!

My friend and I rented Arian and Aaron’s place for a Saturday night ladies getaway and we had the best time. The property was clean, quaint, a close drive to Old Port (literally $5-$7 uber drive) and had everything we needed to feel at home and then some. My friend and I couldn’t decide initially between a woods retreat and a city stay and this was the best of both worlds with the new outdoor sauna and wood panel touches throughout. Even though you're in a neighborhood, the large lot and all the trees were very lovely and made it feel a little secluded. This was such a cozy, lovely place to stay! It's close to downtown Portland and on a super peaceful, walkable street. The space was clean and well decorated, and we felt right at home. Just a note to future guests, the street is pretty dark at night with not a lot of street lights. It might take you a bit to figure out which driveway to pull into. Not impossible, just something to keep in mind if you're arriving late. Once we did find the house, it was super smooth sailing. We would recommend this stay to anyone!

This Airbnb was really a great landing spot for us at the beginning for a 2 week trip up the Maine coast. The apartment was comfortable, clean, so pretty with all the skylights, centrally located, and very private. We had no issues accessing Wi-Fi, the kitchen was stocked with basics, and plenty of linens. Bonus for the Airbnb - if you’re a runner/walker - the apartment is about 1/3 mile from the Back Cove trail and makes a great 4-ish mile loop. As a final note, during the rest of the trip, we often looked back and wished we were still in this Airbnb. Book it if you visit Portland!

It was a short drive from most destinations in Portland, while being in a quiet and peaceful location. This is a beautiful, clean space that is a quick car/uber ride to downtown Portland. It’s stylishly decorated and has many small amenities to get you through your stay. The only very minor issue was one of the bedrooms doesn’t have windows that can be opened, so it was a bit stuffy at first. Airing out the rest of the apartment made this not a problem. Had an amazing trip with my parents and husband here! The location was perfect, quick drive to Portland, but tucked away in a neighborhood right outside so felt safe and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom had all you need, even when my mom forgot her toothbrush! They thought of everything really. Beds were comfortable, and we slept in the spare room, which had a skylight, so literally slept under the stars. Host were great and responsive, even went out of their way to ship back my mom’s hat she forgot! Would definitely come back! Thank you for the stay!

Arian’s place is comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the large TV and appreciated the convenient location. For cooking, it would have been helpful to have some basics/pantry items, but that is a minor point. Arian was very responsive when we had questions and was a great host.

Great location convenient to everywhere in Portland and easy to find. The place was newly remodeled and in excellent condition. Heat was never an issue, and we were quite comfortable. It had everything we needed and we felt at home. We would stay there again if we ever come back to Maine!

Just what we wanted for our short stay in Portland. Close to our friend. Quiet neighborhood. Close to a nice walk by the bay, and just a short drive to our favorite restaurants. We especially appreciated the variety of books: my sister found one she'd been waiting to try. And there's enough space between the bedrooms that I could practice ukulele without disturbing her. Also appreciated that the kitchen's actually workable for cooking, with pots, knives, matched cutlery and dishes. We do love eating out but we also love to cook, especially nice breakfasts. Would happily stay here again.

We had some issues with the heat the first night as someone had turned it off completely before our arrival. It was VERY cold in there. The hosts were attentive and communicative. The heat is just in the main room so if you’re there when it’s quite cold out and you’re sensitive to the cold, it’s worth considering how you pack (the bedrooms and bathroom don’t get as warm as the main area - some people might prefer this). The house is spotless and free of clutter. The kitchen has nothing other than oil, S & P in terms of food products but has everything you need, utensil and dish-wise. There’s no oven, other than the micro-multifunction oven. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood near the cove trails (which are great). There’s a fabulous Italian market (get the ricotta cookies!) but not much else to walk to.

This spot was great for a weekend in Portland. Nice neighborhood with lots of trees and a pretty view out the window of the bedrooms & living room. We loved the skylights in the apartment. Check in was stress-free and we felt very cozy and safe at night. We love visiting Portland for the food & relaxed vibes and enjoyed staying in a residential area that was no more than a 6 minute drive to the heart of the city.

Fabulous Airbnb!! My active in-laws (82 & 80 years old) came to visit my husband and I for the 1st time in Maine they had a wonderful time and loved the abundance of things to do to include shopping, great restaurants within minutes from the home and the natural beauty that ME has to offer. This airbnb is beautiful definitely a high end stay with Everything you need to enjoy your time exploring and family. There were 4 adults staying in this Airbnb and we felt there was plenty of room and space to relax. The hosts were quick to respond to a few questions we had which we greatly appreciated. There are I believe 14 steps upon entering to take you to the second floor because of my in-laws age we had to really take our time with them going up & down the stairs but did just fine with our assistance. The kitchen is fully stocked to include a wine opener and elegant long stem wine glasses. Arian was so sweet to have a bottle of wine waiting for us which we loved!! This was a 5 Star Stay!!
